Projection For Maple Leafs

This year could be the revival of the past in Hog Town with the Maple Leafs shaping up as team that can compete at a high level. From a rock solid defense that combines grit and skill to the crease that includes two NHL capable goalies to an offense that was 10th in the league last year which includes the addition of Bozak, Wallin, Primeau, and Hanson. Here's a breakdown of the Toronto Maple Leafs for 2009-2010 season 92 pts. 8th or 9th in the conference Coach Ron Wilson will try to introduce more of his hard working philophsey into the maple leafs this year. Brian Burke added pugnascity and grit to a soft lineup. Forwards Led by Mikhail Grabovski, Blake, and Kulemin the Leafs look to build on their 10th most goals in the NHL with the additions of Bozak, Orr, Walin, and Hanson. Jiri Tlusty will look to have a bounce back season after high expectations in 2008-2009. Defensemen This solid group of men just got alot stronger with the additions of Exelby, Komisarek, and Beauchiman. A pantry of defensemen will make live easier on the goalies this year after allowing the most goals and powerplay goals last season. Goaltending Vesa Toskala is healthy and 'The Monster' is breathing down his neck for the starting job. If either one has a Vezina type season, the Leafs could win a weak Northeast Division, with the exception of Boston. It will be an interesting year for the players, fans, and executives of the Toronto Maple Leafs. If the Leafs can build on their offseason success, they can be a player come May 1st and not on the 1st hole of Glen Abby GC in Oakville. Let the NHL season come!!!!!!!!!!
